A distressing event unfolded on Saturday when a 35-year-old woman, known as Gangubai, suffered serious injuries from a stray dog attack. The incident occurred at the Gubbi Court in Tumakuru district, Karnataka, as she exited the washroom.
Gangubai, who hails from Beerasandra village, was at the court for a family dispute case. As she attempted to flee, the dog lunged at her multiple times, inflicting severe facial injuries. Her screams attracted the attention of nearby locals, who rushed to her aid.
Aftermath of the Attack
Following the attack, the enraged crowd pursued the stray dog and ultimately killed it. Gangubai was first taken to Gubbi Taluk Hospital for immediate medical attention before being transferred to a facility in Bengaluru for further treatment.

In a similar incident last month, a mentally ill woman was tragically killed by a pack of street dogs in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. The 45-year-old victim was attacked while heading to the fields, resulting in fatal injuries to her neck and face.
According to local police, the family of the deceased opted against a postmortem and did not file a complaint. Authorities have been instructed to capture and relocate the stray dogs involved in that incident.
